Customer Reviews
First, let me start by saying that I have really low standards when it comes to a laptop mouse. I honestly go through about two or three a year. I always buy cheap mice but this is by far the cheapest. Item arrived less than two days after order which was great. This is obviously a very cheap mouse and people really shouldn't have high expectations. Don't get me wrong, it works and suits my needs. That being said there are some pros and cons to this.
Pros:
- Item was very cheap and probably wouldn't mind buying another in 6 months or so.
- It has an on/off switch, which my last one did not have.
- Very lightweight, and has a blue laser on the bottom which ie easier on the eyes than red.
- Comes in just about any color you can imagine.
-It's VERY CHEAP
Cons:
-Had a very hard time opening up compartment where batteries are installed, which in turn chipped the cover, had to tape cover back on.
-It is cheap in price, and feels very cheap in your hands, like cheap chinese plastic.
-It will not operate properly on my desk surface, when many others have worked.
-I will have to buy a mousepad to use this on my desk, for now using a magazine.
So,overall this is a good buy if you want a cheap mouse that WILL work. I reccomend this to anyone unless you don't want a mousepad. That being said I may be looking for a replacement in the near future, but really isn't the product's fault, just a personal preference.
So if you read this review, please remark as to whether it was helpful or not, and feel free to ask questions or comment.
This is my first ever wireless mouse purchase/use.
The mouse arrived in a plain white box with no instructions. After a little looking, poking, and pondering, I was easily able to figure out hoe to install it. The nano receiver was packed in it's own home slot. It worked immediately on inserting the receiver and putting the 2 AA batteries in place. The batter cover is a little stiff and was ahrd to remove, but I think that this will prove to be a blessing after it gets dropped a few times [all our home remotes have taped-on battery covers 2nd to droppage].
It tracks very precisely, and with the batteries in place, it has a nice weight for use. I can even get it to track on my pant leg. It's range is somewhat greater then specified, but the utility of a mouse functioning at that distance is limited.
I find that my hand cramps a little with prolonged use, but to be fair, I have big hands and use of any little mousey-thing can trigger these symptoms. The DPI-setting button- labelled "CPI" is unobtrusive and definitively adjusts the cursor tracking rate.
It shuts off by a small underside switch and if left unattended/unused for some unidentified time frame [given no instructions]. It came back to life after about 0.5 seconds or so of jiggling with no other intervention needed.
I was interested to see that the tracking laser is blue- something I've never seen before.
The only complaint I have is that the mouse itself is yellow and not the advertised red. And as it runs out I don't really care.
